The Last of a Good Thing

Alas all good things must come to an end. We LOVED Disney World and yet, reality has hit again. I found it only appropriate to show some of Gavin and Laney's favorite people.

This is Grandma Jackie. Gavin stuck by her like glue. That is unless he was trying to suck up to Grandpa to try to get his hands on his phone.

Grandma Jackie was the lucky one to get assigned the rental car. And by that I mean that every time we drive by a Dodge Caravan Gavin proudly tells us, "That's Grandma Jackie's Car!" (Embrace your inner Van Lover Jackie...I know it's in there)

Grandpa Jones (who is associated with a CRV and Truck. Lucky!) was another fun person to have along on the trip. They were good babysitters while Blake and I were on rides. As you can see. And they definitely made our kids smile. Nothing beats family!

The Many Face of Blake

Blake is normally holding the camera so we end up with a lot of these...

However the tides have turned. So here is a collection of Blake's faces...

This is his normal smile (Yes, it is with his mouth open. Don't believe me ask him to see his drivers licence.)

This is eyebrows down mouth closed. (Kinda looks sad....maybe?)

And lastly one eyebrow up mouth well, I don't know what his mouth is doing....perhaps crazy?!

These were all taken right before we got on the ride called Everest in Disney World. This is what we call a bad combination of Boredom and Killing time.

This was us at Blake's work party. There was a theme to our costumes can you guess it?

Blake and I made this costume out of wire fencing, paper mache, caulking, spray paint and love.

Ruining the Illusion

This is what I like to call anatomy of a melt down. Not all of vacation is smiles and happiness, even if it is the happiest place on earth. Laney was mad because we wouldn't let her play with the stroller. Blake came to the rescue in the end. (Notice that booger on his shoulder). What a good Dad.

It Just Keeps Going...

MGM:

Here we are at MGM. Laney is not in the picture because quite frankly we were just to lazy to take her out of her stroller. But we still love her.

Gavin put these sunglasses on himself. If you look at the price tag that should give you some indication as to why we did not buy them for him. We did however buy him the pins that he is wearing. In Disney World and Disney Land they have all these different kinds of pins. People go around trading them and trying to get sets. We figured that Gavin would have a good time trading. And he did. Actually, today we went to Costco and an employee was wearing one of those lanyards to hold his name tag and Gavin asked "He got pins too?" So evidently it made an impression. The other pictures are of Laney trying on more stuff that we did not buy.




Seeing Lightning McQueen may have been the highlight of Gavin's trip. He was crying when I told him that we had to let other people take pictures with him.

This is a lady that works at MGM. She was quite fond of Gavin. So much so that she brought him stuff to dress him up like a pirate and gave it to him. Gavin was a good sport and let her put it on him and take a picture.

Not to be outdone by Gavin....My dad decided that he needed to be a pirate too. Aarggh Maytee!


This was the Only picture that we got with any characters, and our family. Funny because we are not big Monsters Inc. fans. Oh well. You win some and some you just have to grin and bear it.

Day two: The Magic Kingdom

Disney World this time of year is all decked out in Halloween decorations, super cute! This pumpkin was up on the light poles.

While we were there we got what I like to call "hooked up"!! They have these little shows on the streets, and one of them is a Pirates show with Captain Jack Sparrow. Jennifer, who works for Disney, got us some one on one time with Jack. We were happy about that (little photo op. and all) but our kids were a little apprehensive. Especially Laney, as you can tell she did not like the pirates at all. Hence the reason she is in only one picture.






This was a race track ride at Magic Kingdom that Gavin loved. Anything that is a car our boy loves.

We're Back!

We're back and here to torture you with pictures from our trip. It's like a really bad slide show however, there is a way to escape.

This is Gavin in the cockpit of the plane on the way to Florida. Who knew they even did this anymore?

Laney, Gavin and Me on the plane. (This was a tough picture to figure out so I thought that I would help you out a little.) The kids were really good on the way there. Shocked us too!

First Stop: NASA

On Sunday we went to NASA. It was technically Laney's Birthday so I have to give a little shout out to her. HOLLA!

This is an actual space shuttle. They have it in this huge warehouse to look at. Above us are the boosters. You can only really see one in the picture but there are 5 total...if that gives you any idea as to the largeness that is the space shuttle.

What trip to NASA would be complete with out a family picture in front of an actual space suit?

Florida for Us!!

Hi Guys! We are in Florida for a week...so when we get back there will be posts a plenty. Have a great week.

My Car

This is my new car that I got about a month ago. I LOVE IT! It is a 1973 Volkswagen Squareback. We purchased it on Ebay, and drove to Arizona to pick it up. My friend Cathy came with us to be my riding partner (thank you Cathy!). I do realize that this took place last month but for all of you who have yet to enjoy the beauty that is my car....Enjoy!
It was love at first sight.
