I Also Have A Bachelor Pad In NYC

We went to the Bellagio Atrium last weekend. It was as lovely as ever.
We were trying to get all of the kids to stand by me to take a picture. This is the best one. I am not looking at the camera and the other two kids are not in the frame...but Canon looks cute. A little self portrait.
Laney and Gavin in front of the ladybug that is made out of flowers.
While we were down on the strip I was carrying Canon and a gentlemen behind me says in a "I'm speaking to a baby" kind of voice,
"Well it is probably your first time in Vegas."
Me: "No. We live here."
Man: "Oh, I was talking to the little guy."
Me: "Yeah...he lives here too."
You know those 8 month old kids really like to hop on a plane by themselves and get some strange lady to carry them around town so that they can experience Vegas firsthand.
I'm just saying.

You Too Can Decorate Your House With My Stuff

We are have a garage sale on Saturday morning. If you want to come we are going to start at 7 am. I'd buy my stuff if I were you. I got cool stuff.

Kinda Like Jack and Jill But With Nothing Broken

Canon fell down the stairs yesterday for the first time.
At our house we kinda live by the philosophy of "That will teach you." They normally only fall down the stairs a couple of times and then they learn. Man...I sound kind of brutal. Don't get me wrong, I watch him and take him away from the stairs when he is by them. I don't want him to fall down it is just bound to happen at some time or another. He just seemed to get to the stairs quicker than I anticipated and he was not hurt. As soon as I picked him up he was smiling and I am pretty sure he forgot all about it because he was heading for the stairs again this morning.

I Wont Make Any Promises

I have thought about doing this for a long time. I stew about it...I wonder if it will make me want to pull my hair out. I am not particularly fond of starting something and not finishing it. It makes me feel...unfinished...imagine that. If it takes too much of my time I may just throw in the towel instead of feeling guilty that I didn't post something. I do have to take care of three children still.

So check it out...but don't get your hopes up just yet.

And In This Corner...

The other day I walked into the kitchen and Canon was crying like he was hurt. So I asked Laney why he was crying.
L: "I jumped on him."
M: "Honey. You can't jump on him. He is little and you are big and it hurts him."
L: "I not big. I widdle."
M: "No honey you are big."
L: "No. I widdle. See."
M: "OK. But you are bigger than Canon. It hurts him."
L: "I not big I widdle."
Yeah...she obviously did not get that you shouldn't body slam your little brother.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel...

Gavin likes to put his blankets on his head to use them as "hair."This makes a little more sense to us.

I Think They Might Miss Me More

Blake starts a new position at work today. They laid a couple more people off at his work. It sucks. They also asked everyone to take another pay cut. That sucks too. There will be no spending money effective immediately...
Good bye dear friends you will be missed.Although I only shop at you when you have stuff on sale, I better stay away for a while. Trust me it will be better this way.

Who am I kidding? There will be no shopping anywhere. Sigh.

Going Back A Few Days...

For Mothers Day Blake had a day planned out for me with my friend Cathy. We got to spend the whole day together on our "Lady Date." We went shopping, saw a movie, ate some good grub and just enjoyed not having any kids with us. I had a fabulous date...and at the end there was no pressure for a good night kiss.

In the last picture we are giving our Next Top Model looks. Cathy is "smiling with her eyes" and I am just being "fierce." Thanks Tyra for the tips.

Hand Over The Juice Box Or There Could Be A Lynching

Gavin is playing T-Ball. That in and of itself is fun to watch. But add his run into the mix and it makes for some good laughs. (I will have to add a video of that later.)
Their team is called the Sharks.
Canon dressed like a "shark" too.

We went the other day to a place called Peter Piper Pizza. It is kind of like Chuck E Cheese but with out as many games and it doesn't have freaky puppets singing songs. They were taking pictures for all of the teams. Not just T-Ball teams but soccer, football and baseball. There were a lot of kids there. A Lot. I decided that a place like this just makes your kids all "hopped up." There is bound to be some screaming. You know the type of screaming that makes your ears bleed. It echos down those tube slides and you feel like you may need to take a couple of Excedrin for the next month to get rid of the headache. I does not matter if you are there for 10 minutes or 90. As soon as your kids step into a place like that they get a sort of "mob mentality." Everything that they do they do with more enthusiasm. It's like it is crack for kids. Screaming, yelling, running around, sliding, all of them grouping in hoards ready to attack. We stayed for about 15 minutes. It didn't matter. The kids were still affected.

Video Recorders Ready?

Extreme Home Makeover plays this Sunday. From what I gather it is a 2 hour special. You all can check out the house that Blake did the engineering for. Yeah!

For Mormons Only

I think Mormon humor is funny (for the most part anyways.) I find it entertaining to make fun of funny things that we as a group do. I just found this blog and found it very entertaining. If you like Mormon humor click away.

Oh...and while reading that blog it linked me to this one. Strange but fascinating non the less.

I Am Thinking of Starting A Magazine Called "H" And Having Only Pictures Of Me On The Cover.

I figure if Oprah can do it why can't I? Granted she does have a huge following. Mine...meager. But I like some good things. So here they are. You all should go and buy these. They are well worth the money.

The Swivel Sweeper. It is kind of like a glorified church vacuum but better. It may be the most handy little thing I can think of. (about $40 at Target.)

The Ped Egg. Or as I like to refer to it...a cheese grater for your heels. I was a little leery of this one and then I read a review and they claimed to love it. So I tried it and what can I say...I love it too. (almost any store $9.99)

The Fragrance Collection by Glade. Have you ever gone in to Anthropologie and smelt their candle that is in a blue jar? It smells like berries kinda. But mostly it just smells like yummy goodness. That is what this candle smells like. Summer and Anthropologie but with out the "make you want to dry heave" prices. (larger 10 oz. candle at most stores for about $9.)

The Ferber Method. Not sure what that is? It just means that I let Canon scream at night so that he gets used to falling asleep on his own. It took about 2 nights and now he sleeps until 5:30 AM wakes up and eats and then goes back to sleep. (getting to sleep through the night for the first time in 7 months priceless.)

Loreal Double Extends Mascara. I need a mascara that doesn't give me raccoon eyes by the end of the day. I don't want flaky black stuff under my eyes. I also don't want when I wash off my mascara to have to use a industrial strength turpentine. This does not flake. And it comes off with water in the consistency of...well...spider legs. It is very fun. (Any store that sells make up $10.99)

  • For those of you that did not understand the title: Look at Oprah's magazine ...you can pick any month they are always the same...it ALWAYS has a picture of her on the cover. (I find it very strange and some what indulgent.) Plus, I read somewhere that she wants people to know that her magazine is about all women. Really? Why isn't anyone else on the cover then?

Toot. Toot.

This is 300.
I have been torturing everyone with my crazy life for 300 posts.
I am not very good with "pats on the back."
So my own horn will do.

Heaven Must Be Full Of Pink Balloons

On Saturday we went and got our car washed. Laney is scared of the car wash so I brought her inside so I could get a soda. Win win. Well there was a nice girl employee in the gas station that had a pink balloon. First of all our kids love balloons and this was no ordinary balloon. It was big. But the girl gave it to Laney and then found a blue one for Gavin (even though he wanted a pink one too) and we were two big balloons richer. We had to go to a couple other places but before we did we stopped by home and dropped off Gavin's balloon. Laney would not part with hers so it stayed in the car. After a trip to Costco we came out to load our groceries. I opened up the back of our car and Laney started crying. I asked her what was the matter and she pointed and there it was her big pink balloon just floating off in the distance.
Me: "Oh. Laney I am so sorry. I forgot your balloon was back there."
L: "My balloon."
Me: "Maybe we can get you another balloon."
(still crying)
L: "I am going to get a beanstalk, and climb it and get my balloon and I will see Jesus."
