PIE

This is my second attempt at pie making. This time I made an apple pie. I think it turned out quite good. Actually it was so good according to Blake that he said "I actually liked it and I hate pie. Unless it's chocolate." I think that is saying something...right? You can now refer to me as Betty Crocker (or Crocker Betty if you are Sarah.)

Peanuts and Cracker Jacks

This last weekend we went to a 51's Game (it's baseball.) It was a lot of fun. We got a family pack of tickets that included hats, ice cream sandwiches, and four free meals to Carl's Junior. Laney loved that she got a hat too. I think that she loved it almost as much as she loved the peanuts.

Before the end of the game Gavin and Laney actually figured out how to eat them with out eating the shells.

Momma Had a Baby

Gavin: "Mom your tummy is big. There is a baby in there but your tummy is not big enough yet. It will get big and then crack and a baby will come out. But you can not put it back in, because babies don't go back in."
Me: "That's right Gavin. Babies don't go back in."

No More Monkeys Jumping

We finally found a bed for Gavin. One that wouldn't break the bank, that is, but is still nice. Why get Gavin a new bed? Well, the baby is a boy so therefore will be sleeping in Gavin's room. The crib is white and Gavin's old bed was brown. If you know me at all you can probably figure out why this was a problem. Have no fear. Gavin's old bed did not go to waste, it just got relocated to Laney's room.

So far she has slept in the bed for 3 nights only falling out the first night. I think she is doing so well because she is so little and the bed is so big, (it is only a twin but doesn't it look huge) so she has further to go to fall out. She is so happy to have a big bed. She calls it "bed Laney" which actually sounds like "be nene."

Dentist

Gavin went to the Dentist the other day. He did such a good job that they are going to do x-rays, and clean his teeth the real way next time.

Dentist: You did such a good job today Gavin, would you like a sticker?
Gavin: Yes I would.
Dentist: Did you already look at them? Did you want spiderman?
Gavin: Yeah, I like spiderman. (shrugging his shoulders.)
Me: Gavin, which one did you like? (thinking for sure he would pick Cars)
Gavin: Um, I would like Strawberry Shortcake.
Dentist: You want Strawberry Shortcake?
Me: Yeah, he's not kidding.
Gavin: Yep, I do.

Gavin also got to pick out a prize from their bucket. Airplane? No. Dinosaur? Nope. Gavin picked out glasses that looked similar to this....I would have taken a picture with them on him but I am pretty sure we left them in a Target shopping cart. Darn!So as not to be outshined on Gavin's big day Laney had to be in some pictures too, with styling hair to boot.

The Second Part Ala Washington

One of the main objectives when going to Washington was to surprise my Mom for Mother's Day. Mission accomplished! We showed up at her house and my sister Ramonah had gotten her to leave. When my mom was at her friends house we were patiently waiting down stairs. While we were waiting what would show up on my mom's door via a delivery person? My mothers day present. Yep, it was delivered to my mom's house. Breakfast in Bed. What a good husband! Well, my mom finally came home to find us (Sarah, and I) in her family room. There was a whole lot of screaming and crying. Once again, mission accomplished. While at my mom's house we went to the Pike Place Market. (Zoom in on the picture...it's my name.)
Who can resist a picture with the Pike Place Pig and my sisters? Notice that 5 month belly of mine?I had a great Mother's Day with my family and my Grandma Miller.

Where I Have Been. Five Days Summed Up In Two

For my mothers day present I got to go home to Washington. I was gone for 5 days, all of which I was childless. (Blake was taking car of them at home.) First stop was at my Dad's house to celebrate mothers day with Jackie. My sister came from Utah with her little girl.
I also got to see my friends from high school John and Aaron. John owns this cute restaurant in Poulsbo that we had lunch at. Delicious. Can I just say that I love Washington.

Ouch!

Gavin hit his heel yesterday. Yep, that is it...you have to look really hard. Well, when it happened he was hysterical, crying, yelling the whole bag of treats. Blake told him that he was OK that he wasn't even bleeding. Gavin's response was"Nope, I am pretty sure it's broken."

Strange

The other day we were leaving the mall and this is the conversation we had with a random lady. Lady: You have cute kids.
Us: Thank you.
Lady: Are they albino?
Us: Nope. Just pale.
