We had a Jones Family reunion in Beaver the week of the 4th of July. We played games, the men went shooting, the ladies made jewelry, it was an all around good time. There is something to be said about being around family. I think it is the genes. Everyone understands you and you can pass off your quirkiness as being hereditary. And lets face it...if you have snot hanging out your nose someone is going to point it out. Not only that but they most likely will make fun of you for it.
These are just the grand kids and not all of them at that.
Our cheap attempt at taking a picture of our children together. Laney is kinda smiling, Gavin looks like we are torturing him to smile and Canon looks like he just smelt something stinky. And this was the best one we got...you could imagine the worst. Rest assured there was crying involved by one or all children.
They have in Beaver what is called Butch Cassidy Days. Cotton candy was about the extent of the fun.
We stopped on the way home at Cove Fort. This is Maleah (my sisters little girl) and Laney. It was interesting to go and see the fort but I have to say that my favorite part was when one of the Senior missionaries called my sister to repentance. Only in Utah.

We also got to go up horse back riding. Now don't act too surprised because I know that I look like a natural but this is my first time riding a horse.
On the ride home the kids were full of joy. And really there is only one thing that will do that for them. Beauty and the Beast.
We have moved in to a smaller place then where we lived before. Not that I am not grateful, because I am, it is just a lot smaller than our house. So with moving into a smaller place there has been some challenges.
Like where to put our food storage, that I am pretty sure took up half of our moving boxes. There also has been boxes everywhere. Nothing is organized and well it was starting to make me a bit batty. For anyone that knows me well I am a self pronounced annal retentive person. Clutter and me are not friends.

Taxi cabs. Not because I mind Taxi's but because the billboard that they have on them. I will especially not miss the sign with the seven or so naked butts on it.
Angry people. Blake and I are convinced that the "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" mentality breads unhappy people.
The heat. Ooh the heat. It gets hot and that is no fun. Sometimes it feels like you are going to melt like the wicked witch of the west. No deodorant is strong enough to with stand the punishment of a hundred degree weather.
But I will miss many things too. Like...

I am thinking that I am going to be pretty buff one day.

Look how she can multi task.
These are all the kids in Gavins class.

Not the most flattering picture of me but this is just showing you what he does when I do pick him up. How could you deny him? That is pure adoration.
